Getting started

  1. Look at the pictures and read the names with an adult. Find the first written letter of each word.
  2. From about age 6 with an adult. The kit explores written words and meanings. Initial letters do not always represent just one sound; pronunciation is not assessed here.
  3. Page 2, from the top: M for moon, B for bridge, F for flower, C for cup. The words in the other language editions have their own initials.
  4. Page 3 has two personal entries; page 4 has six index rows. Alphabetical order is not required. An adult may write what the child dictates.
