Materials you need
- A4 paper and access to a printer; a pencil or pen for fields to complete.

Getting started
- Write the month and year. Check the weekday of the first day and the number of days before filling the grid.
- Landscape A4, printed at 100%. The grid has seven columns and six rows: 42 cells. Lay it on a desk or use an existing holder; it is not a construction template.
- Write the first day under the correct weekday. Continue left to right and leave cells outside the month empty. There are no preprinted holidays or real dates.
- Abstract example: a 30-day month beginning on Sunday ends on Monday, in the first cell of the sixth row. This does not identify a specific month or year. Notes for next time
